» Joy Butler - Handwriting analysis

Welcome to Suite101! I have always been curious about handwriting analysis and look forward to more of your articles. Although I do not pretend to know even the first thing about handwriting analysis, I found it odd that age and gender cannot be determined this way, because I find it easy to know a man's writing from a woman's and usually have an idea if the writer is young or old. I am curious also because when I have plenty of time, I write with fatter, "loopy" letters and when I am in a hurry I write more scratchy and the letters are formed quite differently. But I guess the trained eye can "see through" this and I'm sure your topic will be very interesting.

Hi, pleased to meet you. As one newcomer to another it will be great to talk to you about
handwriting analysis. All questions welcome.

About your topic - agoraphobia - I have three
very good friends that suffer from this and I am sure they will be interested in your article.

Cheers,

Kerrie

In response to message posted by JButler:

Hey Joy, well you're right, some people are able to tell gender as in some people it IS obvious from how they write. In just as many though, I've found it hard to tell. Intuition does play a large part here too I might add. Also, age can sometimes be told by the quality of the writing - having said that, I should add that one can be young and have arthritis and look older on paper.

So glad to hear from you. Thanks so much for writing.

» jerrib - Great topic, Kerrie

I keep thinking my subscription list is getting too unmanageable, but when I see another great topic I have to add it to my list.

I'll be back to read more. This is a fascinating study.

Welcome to the Suite.

» SandyMcC - Hi Kerrie

Welcome to the Suite! smile This is a great topic that I've studied, and I'll be very interested to see what you post here. (I should add that I'm like Katherine in that I've forgotten a lot of it, being centuries ago...smile) I found your first article informative.

Be sure to stop around my place and say hi sometime! smile

» cmborris - Excellent!

Kerrie,

I find this a fascinating subject and love the line about the pen being the tongue of the mind. My cousin is an expert at analyzing the hand written word and provides this service in her Human Resource Department.

Welcome to the group. You're a wonderful addition. I'll be back for more.
