» JamesPedrick - Your Son is Innocent

I think it is unfair to blame your son for your own mistake. It is clearly your own fault that you tripped over an object. Things are left on floors all the time. When people trip over them it is only because they are to blame. If we're going to blame your son, though, then it is only fair to find others to blame as well. How about the company that produced the telephone? Perhaps it was there fault because they did not color it a bright orange or put a device on it which beeps if you come near it. Or perhaps we should blame the chair you hit your leg on. Maybe it should have a rubber or other soft material to help cushion it so that your foot would not get broken by hitting it. Or what about the lighting in the room? Perhaps it wasn't bright enough for you to see the phone, or it was to bright so you couldn't see the phone, or maybe you didn't have the light on. Oh, I know, let's blame YOUR accident on the shoes you were wearing. They evidently didn't give you the support you need. Or perhaps your glasses are not working properly.

I think it is fair to say I am innocent...

Your son,

- James

:D

P.S. Get well soon!

In response to message posted by JamesPedrick:

Dear Son,

After you went to work this morning, I picked up, from the same spot, your cereal bowl, a DVD and several comic books. It is obvious that you need to change some habits. Or maybe I just need to be more prompt in picking up after you.

Your Mom
