» Craig93 - Re: First respones

In response to message posted by mussar:

G'day Mussar, blessings.

There are many other historians who wrote about Jesus apart from the New Testament, some Jewish such as Josephus and Tactius who was a Roman, both report he did many wonderful miracles, as the blind man who was blind from birth said "if this man was a sinner and not from God how could he perform such a thing as restoring my sight"

Jesus had to be a Liar, a Lunatic or who he claimed to be, who do you claim him to be Mussar?

The Torah it'self speaks of God himself appearing to Abraham with 2 others before destroying sodom and gommorah, it talks of how Jacob wrestled with God in a physical form, the Prophet Isaiah wrote and said the messiah will be born of a virgin, do you believe that this is how the messiah will still come?

This question is 2 edged I will admit, either you don't believe what the Torah says and what the prophets actually prophecised or if you do believe what they said, why is it you don't believe what was actually prophecised.

I am not anti semitic,I have a great honor for the Jews and firmly believe that Scripture where God says to Abraham

"I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you"

Therfore I want to assure you I am not mocking you or any Jew's, I am merely defending what was actually prophicised by your own prophets.

» mussar - Answer to Craig

Thank Craig for responding,
My intention was not to turn this site into a debate about religion since from experience it leads nowhere.
The quote about j in Josephus historians say is forged. That is- it was added in latter and not written by Josephus.
What are the writings of Tactius?
The fact that they claim he did miracles is meaningless. I can say on anyone who is now dead from a long time ago that he did miracles and those who saw it are dead so there is no one to verify it.
The Torahs claims are different though as I wrote a while ago which you can find at0- http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/grow...
Jacob never wrestled with G_D in physical form it was an angle.
Isaiah never said the Messiah will be born a virgin the word in Hebrew in Isaiah means young girl. I wrote about this, and also explained in short why there are absolutely no prophesies in our Bible that have any reference to J at all.
Read them at-

And at-

Also on my web site you will find info on this maybe written even clearer and I have been working on a longer even better mini course on this, which is not yet ready-

In response to message posted by mussar:

OK I will take your point about the messiah being born from a young girl, though I question it, mary was a young girl, and what criteria would you say the messiah would need to do to prove he was just that if he was born say 20 or 30 years ago born from a young girl?

Craig-
Please read what I wrote carefully. I said there are no references to J in the Our Bible at all. SO that verse, which is talking about a young girl, is not talking about marry either. It ahs nothing to do with the Messiah at all in those verses.

In response to message posted by mussar:

You are right, there are no references to the name "Jesus" at all, but there are many references to the "Messiah" of which Jesus fulfills"

Mussar, I ask you, if Jesus was not the messiah, when the messiah comes how will you know?

» mussar - Set things straight

I did not write about this topic to start a debate. I am offering information to think about. I understand those who are already so to say convinced about their faith will not be interested to what I have to say or might be insulted etc. It is not my intention to insult anyone but to present true facts for those open-minded enough to accept.
I have gone over these facts with a friend of mine who was a priest who converted to Judaism and now assist Jews agianst missionaries that try to convert Jews.

Hello,
Thank you for writing.
Messianic Judaism is usually referring to those whom try to keep some of Judaism and also believe in J and this is totally against the teachings of Judaism and is forbidden.
