Hello.. I live about 35 miles north of New Madrid and i have heard stuff about the 1811/1812 Earth from my Geart Grandparents..I have done alittle studding on it myself and it is pretty interresting some of the stuff i found out about it like the old city of Madrid rest underneath the mississippi river because of the 1811/1812 quake had made the river run backwards and change cousre.. But if you want or need more info on it go to the New Madrid Missouri city web site and there they have alot of stuff about it.....
