Mary,

I have studied the US for many years but had never heard of this quake. I found the article both interesting and informative.

I can imagine that those poor people were scared out of their wits. I have never experienced a large quake, but we had one here in the early 80's that scared me. It was measured as 4. Glad that it was such a small one.
