Hi Mary, what a frightfully (hehe) good article. Poor double-faced ghost, I felt sorry for him. But I did enjoy the article. Thank you. Happy Halloween! Renie

Hi Renie, Though it's past now, Happy Boo Day to you too! I guess that's the way life goes for a ghost. Thanks, Mary Trotter Kion

» Red - great tale...

Mary,

What a great tale. I'm very interested in Native folklore and enjoyed your article very much. I'm glad I came across it in the Hallowe'en Event. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Mary,
How's live up north? I, too, enjoy reading Native folklore. Glad you liked it.

Mary,

Sorry I was so long replying. Last week we were freezing and this week we're at a balmy 80 degrees. We had frost everyday last week and some people say there was a little snow. I think they mistook the thick frost for snow.

We are having Indian summer. I have an idea that it may be a long cold winter up here, if folklore is correct. The caterpillars are almost entirely black and that the old folks say that that means are long, cold winter. I hope the caterpillars are wrong. LOL

Hi Mary,
I don't think your caterpillars are wrong. I've noticed that my two dogs have suddenly stopped shedding their summer hair and have started growing more hair--and longer than usual. We've had weird fall weather, too. Rain, rain, rain. And I'm in the desert, but tomorrow its suppose to be sunny and up in the 70d. So who knows?
Hang in there, spring is just around the corner--some corner.
Mary
