» StCatherine - Great first article

and welcome.

My daughter got to spend a week in St. Louis this summer as part of a Catholic Heart Work Camp. She spent four days working at St. Patricks's Mission for the Homeless and one day touring. I was glad she got to experience this great city.

Welcome to Suite101.com, Mary! I'm from Jacksonville, Illinois-- just a hop skip and a jump from St. Louis. Well, a hop skip and jump compared to where I live now in Texas! I had no idea the founding of that fair city was so interesting! Thanks!

I hope you love being here at the Suite!

Best,
chris

I'm glad you liked my article. I had such fun writing it. It was almost like going home again, though I grew up on the west side of Missouri. Thanks, Mary.

I think the founding fathers, and mothers, of St. Louis are very interesting, too. Something like a soap opera 1700 to 1800 style. Thanks, Mary.

Hello Katherine, Sorry to just be answering you. When I first started here it was all so new that I am still catching up. S101 is proving very interesting for me. I just had an offer from a publisher who read my articles here, so we shall see. Thanks, Mary
