» Guinivere01 - Beta blockers and rash

Hi smile

I tooAtenololol 50 mg. and developed a red rash on my face after 2 months of use. My doctor just dismissed it. ( I no longer go to her!) I also had unbelievable nightmares and was freezing cold all of the time. I had to sleep with my electric blanket on high in the heat of the summer. The rash on my face is in exactly the same places my face touches the pillow. I stopped thAtenololol after 4 months just too many side effects, but I still have the rash. I don't know exactly how beta blockers work, but I think that it damaged the blood vessels in my face. It messed up my blood sugar too (too low). I almost passed out while taking my dog to the vet. Thank God my daughter was there with me. I have a friend who takes it with no problems at all. Go figure!
