» Tom - Orchestration
I won't say fixed, because I, and no one else, will ever find proof that a lot of professional sports events are somehow altered to affect their outcome. I've decided to call it "orchestration."I found out a few years ago how things tend to get orchestrated when I was winning wagers on pro football. On one weekend, I was up more than $1600, the next weekend I was $65 to the good. I knew who was supposed to win by the stats, player's health, and all kinds of other odds, but one weekend everything went south. It's happened on one particular weekend every year since. I'm really glad I decided to get out while the getting was good.
It has become apparent to me that the almighty "television" and the networks that ply their trades on it, is what makes a lot of the sports worlds spin these days. NASCAR racing has sold its soul to the networks, and now pro golf? I'm not surprised.
It also appears that a lot of pro sports has taken the lead from Vince McMahon's Titan Entertainment which is, and has been for many years, making hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars "orchestrating" professional wrestling matches.
