I have long held an interest in Ancient Egyptian culture and mythology, and often find few accurate references to the God Sebek (often spelled/pronounced Sobek). As a science fiction writer, often employing knowlege of other cultures --ancient and contemporary--it's doubly refreshing to see an article of this type.It was well written, and I would love to see more of this kind of work, and even an address or two to Sebek's often contradictory nature...he was, after all, the ancient Egyptian god most likely to confound the other ancient Egyptian gods, which leads me to wonder if he was, somehow, the prototypical "punk-rocker" quasi-anarchist. -- posted by Chipka001
