» Fantushinka - Great article

I really enjoyed reading this article, even though the subject is already very familiar to me. Concisely written, it definitely holds the reader to the very end. I have seen a number of the Imperial eggs, especially the collection of Faberge eggs and other items at the Virginia Museum in Richmond. Their beauty is indescrible. Russians even to this day have a deep fascination with decorative eggs. My husband recently traveled home to Ekaterinburg and he said there were many such eggs for sale in the markets. There is a growing market in America for decorated eggs of various materials, and there are, of course, a number of companies reproducing the original Faberge eggs, in miniature, usually. They are nice, but compared to the genuine article, they almost appear tawdry!
