» unixlinix - Re: Help for dime finders

Because everyone knows someone who has died, I believe that falls within the "statistical probability" factor. We want to believe there is life beyond this one and that our loved ones are ok. I never thought my dimes came from a ghost and if I found them in my home, well that too, is a rather normal occurance. That said...

It started about 4 years ago when I found several in different public places in one day. If I purposefully try to find them - no luck. When I relax and allow them to find me, so to speak, it's much easier. I sometimes find them in pairs, face up and face down, never with other coins, and the years mean nothing. Several of mine are very very worn or as dark as old pennies, and sometimes I'm given hints on where to find them. I have found a way to request them - to actually ask (whatever the energy is) to let me find dimes and it works.

Lastly, don't freak out. It's a gift whatever it is - unless your dimes are keeping you awake at night or falling out of the sky and knocking you in the head! Are they from ghosts? Aliens? God? I believe, to a certain extent, we make it happen. Perhaps we need a dime website to track all findings. When I spend mine, they come back... Two weeks ago I found a dime every day that week. I've also considered the fact that more people may not find them because they often pass for discarded lifesavers wrapper foil! Discuss more, please.

» EvilChihuahua - A skeptic's ghostly encounter

I don't believe in ghost (except the Holy Ghost) but a few week's back I was staying at my friends house where two very strange things happened.

The night I arrived my friend went across the road while I stayed at his house playing the Playstation 2. The only other person in the house was his mum. While he was gone I kept hearing noises behind me as if someone was moving around. I thought it was his mum but every time I turned around there was no one there. No body could have been playing tricks on me because they would have to duck behind the furniture pretty fast. I'm sure no body was there.

The next day my friend and I were playing the PS 2 again and there was a knock at the door. He paused the game (thus bringing up the game menu) to answer the door. It was his mum and her friend back from shopping so he went out to her them. As he was outside the cursor on the game menu started to move through the different game options by itself. The only way this can be done is to use the control pad, which no body was using, and, being and expert on PS 2 games, I know that there is no way the game can do this by itself, not even if it had a bug.

My friend's mum said it was only my friend's dad (who died a few years ago) playing a joke on me, after all it only happened when I was by my self.

What do you think.smile

I'm still a skeptic BTW.

People are believer of God and still believe in Ghosts or Spirits, or whatever they want to call them.

A person can be a Christian and believe in the Paranormal. Although some people will argue that.

Personally, I know plenty of people who believe in both.

This does sound like there is some activities going on. Someone is very playful and wants you to know they are there.

If you have further questions, please let me know. I have many experainces in this department...but only on a personal level.

And, this does not sound like something to be afraid of. I find it comforting. People sometimes believe its angels too.

In response to message posted by QuartzNH:

I'll just tell you now that the way I'm a skeptic is I don't believe in departed loved ones living forever on Earth. When we are in Heaven we might be able to return to Earth for a visit or something, like in the Anime, DragonBall Z.

I do believe in the paranormal and the supernatural however.

I got a few 'ghost stories' if I can remember them (a lot happened when I was little).

» Janie64 - Finding Dimes

I read all of the posts about finding dimes with great interest. About a year ago, a co-worker told me about her terminally ill brother and how he seemed to be finding an abundance of dimes in very unusual places. I thought that the story was interesting, but quickly forgot about it.
Then, about 2 months ago, I noticed that I had been coming across dimes everywhere. In the washing machine, in my car, in doorways, at work, and believe it or not I found 3 in between the cover and foam of my dog's bed. I then remembered the conversation I had had with my co-worker several months back, and asked her about it again. She told me that finding dimes meant that someone from the "other side" was trying to contact me. I was actually quite worried that I was about to be struck down or something, and that finding all of these dimes was fair warning. Luckily, the days went past I still woke up every morning. Then about 2 weeks later we got word that my mother-in-law had been diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer in her liver. I was not really surprised, but still used my logical brain and wrote it off as a coincidence. A couple of days later, I took a bit of a risk and told my husband about the dime phenomenon. I say took a risk because I felt that there was a very good chance that he would think I was seriously nutty. He listened to me (sort of) and didn't comment on it too much. We had this conversation upstairs - he went downstairs before me, and when he got down there he shouted for me to come down. He sounded a little distressed and I went down ASAP. He had dropped his coat on the floor when he had gotten home (sigh - as usual), and there, right in the center of his coat was a single, shiny dime.
We haven't found any since then. And, on a sad note, my mother-in-law passed away peacefully 6 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
I have discussed this again with my co-worker, and she told me that she has been told that people from the "other side" send these signs to those that they feel will pay attention or believe, and that they were a message saying that something is going to happen but everything will be alright.
I have to admit that I am still leaning a little to this just being an odd coincidence, however I am much more open minded now about unusual phenomenon...

Yesterday, in three separate places obviously right in front of me, I found three dimes. This all happened within 90 minutes. Penny's, in my past have meant good or bad luck depending on the heads or tails. Quarter's have meant jobs. Dimes? Three of them? So far nothing has happened that I can pin-point. Maybe someone out there could help me.

Thank you!

Oh my God! I thought it was just me that had this dime story! I have been finding dimes constantly for a few years now. Basically ignored it until recently it became so frequent that I am getting scared! Last month was the first time I decided to start tracking it and for the month of May I found 9 dimes and so far for the month of June I have found 4 dimes in the past 10 days! Initially it would happen when I was feeling troubled or anxious but now that things in my life have been pretty "quiet" it worries me that something bad may happen and someone from above is trying to warn me. I decided to do a web search and I am shocked at how many others have been finding dimes as well! Would love to hear more stories!!

I was very interested in your dime experience. I have also been finding dimes for the past six months. I have found them in my bed, on the floor, a brand new pocketbook I hadn't even used yet, I can leave a room and come back in and there will be a dime where I was sitting. I have been wondering if someone is trying to let me know they are around me.

» kathyluvsburton - DIMES

Well - I have recently began to receive Reiki treatments. One of the things that happens there - is that dear departed ones of mine - come to the sessions. My grandmothers, my mother-in-law, my uncle, etc....

Ever since I have began these treatments - I have been finding dimes and feathers EVERYWHERE. They aren't there one minute - and then they are there.

Very strange - but very comforting and fun. I need to check the years on the dimes and see if there is any significance. I'll let you know if there is!

» feistyfemale56 - Call me a skeptic, but...

Who would have set up the "rule" that people from the next world would use dimes as their means to contact people in this world?

And are dimes only used by American spirits as contact symbols, since other countries use other denominations of coins?

Another thought to consider: when you have something in your mind to notice, you will soon begin to notice whatever it may be more and more often. Does that mean the item is occurring in your life more frequently? Probably not. What's happened is you've become more sensitive than usual to that object and notice it now, where in the past its presence would have slipped into the background unnoticed.
