» _Boanerges_ - the many nights

Remembering the many nights of walking by the banks of this mighty river and watching the city’s lights sparkle in the dark depths, it is not wonder that this river has inspired, strengthened, and perhaps even frightened many a visitor.

Hi Sylvia...
I really enjoyed reading this article... Kinda takes me back when I sorta lived in Germany.. The 2nd link you offered, gives a very good picture of just exactly how you phrased the above paragraph... Indeed it is true... I was fascinated by just about everything when I was there at the ripe age of 22...

Allow me to attempt some of my rusty German:
Havenze a gooden tag... smile

Thank you for stopping by and for commenting. The Rhine River is something else, that's for sure! Somehow it captures the essence of Germany...or maybe it is just that those who grew up alongside its banks feel this way...
