» Olivia32 - Panties as a symbol

Wow! Great article! Panties as a symbol of a "rape culture"... I wish I'd thought of it first.

Do we all belong to and promote such a culture? From the bondage aspect of lingerie generally, to the glass ceiling of corporate structure (or is it stricture?), I'd say "hell, yes"...

Your article provokes a person like myself to mentally inquire: do I wear panties as a way of identifying in a most basic external manner with a part of society with which I feel kinship, or as a way of setting myself apart from a part of society for which I feel not some little fear and loathing? The mental jury is still out on that one...

One thing I have learned, though, is that when one is wearing a dress, one damn well better be conscious of one's surroundings, lest trouble ensue. Sad, but very true...

By the way, is there a single word depicting "the fear and hatred of men and all things masculine"? If not, why not?

And if not, isn't it time there was...
