» CarolWallace - Zone 1???

I somehow thought that the only possible place with zone 1 gardening was Nome, Alaska! And I had rather imagined that all they grew was ice. I'll be fascinated, following along with all your really cold climate advice.

Welcome to the garden!

» Soukoreff - Zone 1 Gardening

tell you first hand that it is possible to garden there, as the writer points out.
Yes, zones 1 & 2 are notorious for "icy" spells, that's why Mr. Smith's tip of using
hardy plants, skipping stuff that needs fussy care, like hybrid teas and rhodo's
and using bark mulch works well.
Enjoyed this article.
