Hi My Hydrangea looks beautiful until a heavy rain, and then..... all of the branches fall to the ground. The split in the middle and flower on the ground ??? What should I do? Kathie

Hi Kathie

I'm just down the other way - how did Canada manage to get heavy rain? It's dry as heck here in Seattle -

I'd say: Plan to prune your Hydrangea early next spring. You may want to reduce the number of branches to prevent it from being top heavy. Also, does it get enough light? They like partial sun but need light to develop nice strong wood. I'm wondering how old it is and if something else has grown so much as to block the light ....
