» Carol Wallace - Now that you mention it. . .

I was at that certain complex in Central Florida just last week - and it truily is awesome - we spent most of our time in Africa andlearned about the 6 million plants there - many imports - and how they are used both to create a beautiful setting but also to give the animals playthings - and in some cases they planted things the animals dislike which helps to keep them in bounds. It was fascinating.

But I also toured many private gardens and noticed that at least in the Orlando area they seem to rely very heavily on foliage plants. I was wondering if that is because it's November - or is that more or less the way it is? I have always said that foliage is what lasts and we really do need to pay more attention to it!

And I do tend to create at least one near tropical looking garden every summer just because I love those big, bold leaves!
