» DeborahT - garden bugs Carla,I was reading your suite101 column and thinking that perhaps you should change the name to garden bugs or garden critters. After all, most bugs are friendly to gardens and some of the bugs you've written about are friendly. Most people things bugs are bad, but they're not, so we need to remind people of that. Just a thought, -- posted by DeborahT » CGoodloe - Garden Pests or Garden Bugs? Thank you for your response. You make a good point on the name of the topic, but most people are looking for topics on pests. The friendly bugs I've listed actually are there as a means to get rid of the bad pesty bugs. It could go either way really. I don't think I want to have the topic changed as it's really not important in my eyes. However, it's nice that you would ask me about it.Would anyone else like to see the topic name change? If there are a bunch of you who would like to see it change, I'll do it. I just feel that "garden pest" brings more readers because they are looking for "pest" as a specific name. I know that I do that when I go to a page. And "pest" or "bug", they both say the same thing to me. "Don't be a pest." "Don't bug me." No difference really. Thank you for your post!! Carla -- posted by CGoodloe » Carol Wallace - Suggestion Carla - how about "Garden Pests and Pals"? That way when you do write about a critter that is beneficial it won't get lost. Just make sure that your topic description for good bugs mentions beneficial insects in some way.-- posted by Carol Wallace
