» greggpasterick - Deceptive Plants, a book, an astronomy conection?

Hi Howie...

...enjoyed your article. I'm wondering, do ya have the book...uh oh...I can't recall the title...I recently bought a copy from QPB...um...it may be "Plants of the Gods"? It's about all these, ahem, magical plants.

And ya know, the interesting thing - to me anyway - in the two movies/stories ya mentioned, the carnivorous plants came from outer space. I think the Triffids may have come from, or were inspired by the 1966 Leonid meteor storm, and of course last year we had another Leonid down pour. Having majored in astronomy a couple decades back has left me a star gazer for life...and of course there are the gardens and the wildflowers...

Nice job...
