» Carol Wallace - Lilies Howie, I did exactly the same thing one year with poppies that you did with your lilies - except on a much larger scale. I belonged to a seed exchange that year and people from all over sent me all kinds of poppies because I had visions of a Wizard of Oz type poppy field. Only I'd never grown poppies before and didn't know what the seedlings looked like. But I sure did a lot of weeding that spring - pulled what I thought were zillions of little weeds - and then couldn't figure out why I got only two puny poppies out of that mass sowing of seeds! Oh well - that's how you get experience.-- posted by Carol Wallace » Howie - Re: Lilies In response to message posted by CarolWallace:<img src="http://www.suite101.com/files/topics/319/files/BlueEntoloma3.jpg" width="50" height="65" alt="Blue Entoloma, at Lake Matheson, New Zealand, 3,266 bytes" border=”2” align="left">I am making up for my previous destruction of the lily bed with an order to Van Engelen Inc. for lots of lilies. I just hope that I remember that come next spring. -- posted by Howie » Carol Wallace - Re: Re: Lilies In response to message posted by Howie:I suspect that given your previous experience you'll recognize them this time around. ;-) -- posted by Carol Wallace
