» Carol Wallace - I LOVE it!

Now THAT is a garden that shows true creativity! My kind of place. I wouldn't mind having that tulip tree - does it bloom in the spring, or is it one of those lovely creations that continues to shine no matter what the season?

And will it grow under a black walnut tree? ;-)

The Tulip Tree is everblooming.
Does not lose its flowers even in our harsh winters.
It also flourishes under a Black Walnut Tree.

Magical indeed! Now how about a red-lipped brug - two lips!

By the way - how far are you from Cornell Plantations? I've been doing a bit of writing for their magazine and may decide to visit it some time this summer (although I have this dreadful feeling that we went from a day of sprinmg to one chilly summer day and have been firmly plunged back into fall.)

We generally visit the plantations at least once a year. It is about 50 miles from where we live. Since both Kay and I are alumni, we like to return to the scenes of our youth and follies. Now I will have to investigate how to subscribe to the magazine.
Your idea of a red lipped Datura intrigued me sufficiently to make one. I could not figure out how to give it two lips, however.
Now, how about one with red lips, white throat and a blue base, grown for the fourth of July?

It is quite late at night [early morning] and I am too tired to think up something clever - the page is a riot! How clever are those pictures! Thanks for a good laugh

How about the plany kangaroouncus that also has snail and slug eating characteristics and can hop all over the garden [and at the same time whoosh up the peafowl poo, which would make it grow bigger and bigger]
