Hairiness et al. More power to all of you. I'm sure there are obnoxious people who are hairy or shaved or bald or left handed or whatever. When you focus on 'hairy' does it make any difference to you if the person is wealthy, ugly, fat and hairy or skinny and hairy, bleached blonde or pimply or not?

I am new to this Suite101 and found this subject interesting, I am a man who is balding and hairy, but have yet to find women who find bald sexy. I am told that there are women out there. I subscribed to some of the singles services and nearly all of them had many women who said in their profiles "if you are bald don't e-mail I won't respond" I love women and Love sex, and don't mind hairy women with the exception of on the legs, but I think there are very few of us, who are of the same opinion. Would be nice to be wrong !

I just had to add to this post when I saw it...

It was a real culture shock when I came to America and realized that shaving for women was SUCH A BIG DEAL. I have never shaved my legs. I love my hair, and my male friends loved it too. they were fascinated by it. I had a boyfriend once who didn't want me to shave my armpit! :-) :-)

Now I am feeling pressure all around to shave my legs. It seems to be some horrible sin if I don't shave. I am fighting it so far though. I don't want to do it just to conform, but sometimes it gets really hard and annoying to see people's reaction (as if I am some hairy beast). It's good to know that there are others who feel the same way I do. I will fight on!

Most bald men are very hairy as for many, baldness is caused by excessive testosterone in their bodies, which gives them hair on their bodies but makes it scamper away on their head

I've got several female friends who think Sean Connery is the sexiest man alive, because he's bald!!

I agree. It's too much upkeep to always stay totally hair-free. And I have no problem with body hair. However, I have a lot of hair on my arms for a girl, & sometimes people think that means I have a hairy stomach, or back...
