great tips! I used to heat with wood, but no longer do, although I have a wood stove, and still use it now and then. Have lots of wood put up, though, in case I should need it. I even cut some of my own fallen trees. But now my main heating source is propane, and I had the tank filled up, just in case the prices become exorbedent. So, I'm ready, I think. Thank you for a most helpful article.
