» frugalhomeschool - Using the Library

I love to look at the homeschooling catalogs and all of the great fiction they offer. I make a list of books my kids will need and then take them to the card catalog on computer and see how many of them the library already has. It always amazes me that more than half of the books were sitting right there on the shelf for free!

» ubahglenda - Tips for getting Usborne educational books free

Did you know that if you host an Usborne Books home show or catalog show and the sales are $300.00 you usually get about $100.00 in free books?

To find a consultant near you go to www.ubah.com or to purchase on-line go to www.UsborneBooksForYou.com

» frugalhomeschool - Using Pizza Plates

Use round cardboard pizza bottoms from frozen pizza to create perfect mobile projects with your kids. You can cover the pizza plate with foil or construction paper. Punch holes around the outside of the circle then attach strings and mobile objects. Staple a loop of string or yarn on top and hang up.

In response to message posted by frugalhomeschool:

I too get many of the catalogs. I choose what we will need for the next year and also the things I would like to have but don't absolutely need.

Instead of taking that list to the library, I take it to second hand shops and online second hand sites.
