Thank you Larry for helping me to understand something I have been aware of for a long time but never quite knew what it was. The "prober" rats - this is what we have been seeing in the inner cities since the 1960s and it has gradually moved out into the suburbs. We even experience it out here in the farm communities though not to as great a degree.

Our country was formed by moving the ones who did not fit in further west. Nearly all of the frontiersmen, pioneers and early settlers couldn't live within the larger populace for one reason or another. They moved west and away from the more settled areas and people.

Australia was settled in much the same way. We no longer have anywhere to go when we don't fit in. The abberations that were once removed from our society are now forced to remain and fester until they explode in one fashion or another.

Many of the things I have wondered about make more sense now.

Onward to the stars!
