» feistyfemale56 - Magical I think June is pretty magical in just about all places, but I have to say from your descriptions of Wight, it sounds almost ethereal.Your words also bring to mind the beauty that is all around us each day if we just take a moment or two to notice. -- posted by feistyfemale56 » Travelsleuth - Re: Magical In response to Magical posted by feistyfemale56:Thank you! Wight is stuck in a 1950s time warp, thank heavens. The roads have not been widened to take the automobile. I still hear horses clip clopping past my window, see a horse and cariage. The skylark sings by day and, right now, the nightingal by night. And I eat fresh, locally caught, crab and sole or skate, drink wine from nearby Rosemary Vineyard, one of three island wineries; eat Wight honey and wash with Wight lavender soap! -- posted by Travelsleuth » HoosierHannah - Wight in June What beauty surrounds you! The description of your Isle makes a landlocked Hoosier hungry to walk the beaches hand in hand with a lover; stroll past the English gardens breathing air laced with the scent of roses and lilac; sit in a sun-dappled garden with her love and sip wine and watch the sun go down to a symphony of bird song and contented purring! It makes one want to swallow the Isle whole like a melon and laughingly spit the pips at the world!-- posted by HoosierHannah
