» CrabApple - Wake Up Call Kelly,I am so glad you didn't have a heart attack. You were wise to get it checked out, and your anxiety level dropped as soon as you removed your fear. Even when we are living the life that we think we want to live and doing the things that we choose to do there is still stress: stress that we put ourselves under. In your case your writing deadline and your music evaluation. Both these activities were stressful because you are striving to do your best for yourself, then when you started to show the signs of anxiety you created another stress for yourself. You thought that your heart was playing up. This stress was probably the greater of the three, when it was removed you felt relieved and the other stresses secondary. You were able to get on with your work because of the relief, but those stresses are still there so SLOW DOWN GIRL.... DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.....YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ENJOYING YOURSELF. Good luck Crabapple. -- posted by CrabApple » klhwriter - Re: Wake Up Call In response to message posted by CrabApple:Hi CrabApple, Glad you're still with me. I've changed my schedule and will post a new column the last Friday of every month. Yes, you're quite right. I am supposed to be enjoying myself. I forgot about that! Because I'm working at what I want these days I imagined I wouldn't experience any stresses or strains. So it was a surprise when it crept up on me like that. Thanks for your support CrabApple - I really appreciate it! All the best, -- posted by klhwriter » Sunbear - Wake Up Calls Hi Kelly,Hope you are feeling better, but I do appreciate the writing from the heart (literally) that you did with this article. Though you have always written well since I have been following your work, I note as of late a smoothness growing in your style, as if you are more comfortable with letting us know more about who you are. (Hope that wasn't too presumptious of me; a problem as one gets to be around 50 (like moi), not caring so much what people think!) Anyway really enjoyed your writing. Best wishes, -- posted by Sunbear » klhwriter - Re: Wake Up Calls In response to message posted by Sunbear:Hi Tom, Thanks so much for reading. No, you do not offend me at all. You could be right about my writing. I suppose it does evolve over time, and hopefully improve. It's a hard thing, to write about who you really are, so perhaps I've kept it at a distance sometimes out of fear of exposing myself. But every year one gets older, and as you say, you start to think - who the heck cares, I'll write what I really feel! All the best, Kelly -- posted by klhwriter » klhwriter - Re: Excellent advice, Kelly In response to message posted by jerrib:Thanks Jerri, Yes, I felt quite foolish when I learned I was ok. But I would have felt quite bad if there was actually something going on and I just ignored it. These things just get worse. Thanks for writing! Kelly -- posted by klhwriter
