I love enthusiastic people. Enthusiasm is so contagious as you say.

I am an enthusiastic person, especially about my interests, painting, pottery and gardening, but I am also enthusiastic about life.

I find it frustrating when you cannot stir the enthusiasm in other people, I think some people are afraid to get enthusiastic about anything because they feel that something will be expected of them and they won't be able to come up to that expectation.

You cannot be enthusiastic and lazy at the same time.

Hi CrabApple! It's always great to hear from you. That's a good point you make there, that people are afraid they can't live up to expectations. Enthusiasm takes effort and energy and lots of people can't be bothered unfortunately. I am glad to hear you are not one of them!

As I was reading your description of the pug puppy at play, I thought of my mother's little Chihuahua who is just a year old. She's the same way. Sheer joy in living.

Enthusiastic people are such fun to be around. And you're right, we each need to be enthusiastic about our interests.

Thanks so much for writing! Yes, I really enjoy my time with the puppy. There's no way to be gloomy when I'm around him. I am always in awe of animals anyway as they go about their lives in a way that suggests they know something we don't. Thanks for reading Linda!
