Hi Virginia,

What a great idea for a gift. I'm sure the recipient will be very happy.

I checked out those great links. I love those Mandalas. They are beautiful!

Happy Mother's Day, Virginia!
Tina

Thanks, Bert. I have done my share of daydreaming,
too--our built in stress reliever. Thanks for stopping by on this warm weekend.

Glad you enjoyed the mandala links, Tina. It is so hot here today, I am ready for a nap. Happy Mother's Day to you, also. I am spending the day with my children for lunch and whatever else.

Virginia, sorry I was so long getting over to read this interesting and informative article.

I knew that North American Natives used a sacred circle but had no idea it was used in so many other cultures. I always learn something intriguing when I visit you.

Thanks for writing such a great article on mandalas. Like Tina, I am going to follow some of your links and see what spiritual journey I take.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, my friend. I will talk to you soon.

Mary, Hi! Yes, I had a lovely Mother's Day. Enjoyed a cook out with my children and their families. Talk about spiritual journeys--the time with them was wonderful!

You know, I am sure, the word that I simply cannot bring to mind at present--when one finds the same thread in different cultures, even those that are widely spaced? Well, the circle seems to be this. The Standing Stones of Easter Island, for example. They are found in cultures far removed from Easter Island.

I have occular migraine, and for a week or two after an attack, I can't always bring to mind the word I want.

Hope things are going well for you as Dwight's surgery date nears. As always, many thanks for stopping by.

Hi Bert! I do like your animated signature. Didn't it recently go up? I do not remember it when you posted.

I had to come back to read the comments..because your article was so fascinating I knew the comments would be fun.

My little doggie logo is my real life Maltese. He just turned 2 yrs. old, and I just love him to peices. The picture on my magazine of the kid doing a good job of hitting his target just tickles me to no end everytime I look at it.

I did follow your links on your article and they were great fun.

Well, he is just as cute as can be. Maltese and Frise are related.

» Satirie - Linked your article!

This was an excellent article, Virginia!

I did a search to see if there were any mandala articles on Suite and found yours. I happily (and quickly) linked it in my article last night. Now I have to go back and write a more detailed description for it and add it to my links page.

Your article circled the subject (no pun intended), made it personal, and peaked the reader's interest (as evidenced by the other posts). Excellent! :-)

» jerrib - Genia's

article (Ethnic Crafts) on Mandalas brought me here; somehow I missed this when you wrote it. I enjoyed your article on mandalas. Such beautiful examples you provide. These remind me a bit of string art made in Mexico.
