» Renie_Burghardt - Hmm, I think I'll stick to good old turkey, for Thanksgiving. However, the article was most enjoyable. When I first moved to the country, having been a city dweller for many years, I did think that that first opossum I saw was a rat. You should have heard me shrieking! And for a while, I waged a war against them because they would sometimes find their way into the chicken coop. But then, I learned to secure the coop better and I've learned to live with them, since opossums are very much part of the woods I live in. I didn't know opossums lived in trees. I have one that lives under my house! Neat article. Thank you, Virginia! Renie -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Dubh_Sidhe - Hi Reni! If you have one that lives under your house you may be lucky, since they will eat anything--field mice, snakes etc. Actually, the article was simply literary fun--I have never tasted one in my life!I prefer Tiffany's to Wall Mart, gold to brass and also turkey to possum. Thanks for your visit! Hope summer is being nice to you and yours. -- posted by Dubh_Sidhe » Tina_Coruth - What a delightful article! What a delightful article! I, too, have never tasted opposum. I've never even seen a live one, only in pictures and on television nature programs. I enjoyed your article, and now I'll have to check out all those great links. Thanks!Christina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Dubh_Sidhe - Hi Christina... ...and thanks! Well, summer is almost gone--one more month before school starts. Actually less. Ours start Monday August 14. I think that is really too early. They should all wait till after Labor Day. But it will be nice to have walking space on the beach!-- posted by Dubh_Sidhe
