I'd like to hear from other people who either know Dr. Galway, or have met him. Anyone have any masterclass experience with him? I attended one last year, in which he told one of my students, in response to a query about preparing for a performance career "Give up the rest of your life" (sort of paraphrased!:-)Karen Stafford

Actually, he contributes to a flute list I'm on when he's back home in Switzerland. I wrote to him on a lark asking if he'd be willing to do an "e-mail" interview, in which I sent him questions, and he answered back. He said he preferred phone interviews, and sent me his phone number! (I'll never tell) :-)It was really neat, and a little surrealistic, to say the least. It honestly didn't seem real, I guess because I've been a big fan of his since college.
