Plant Me...I'm Irish! is the Featured Article on the Garden Community of Interest (COI) page from today February 15 to the end of February. Happy Reading and Happy Planting! Georgene -- posted by Georgene A. Bramlage » FYNFAN - Re: Delightful article In response to Delightful article posted by jerrib:Dear Jerri: Thank you for the kind words... Gardening is such a part of my soul that I cannot go by plants without touching, smelling or diagnosing their woes. I think of my childhood visits to Scotland and the wonderful memories of the small garden plots of vegetables and flower beds in the front. So that is why in Florida I don't have a tropical garden but a cottage garden in my front yard, it makes me happy to come home and walk through at the end of the day. Our country is such a melting garden pot of nationalities and cultures that they must miss the familiar smells and sights of their homeland. Even if they are second, third, or fourth generation, everyone should know where they come from. Wouldn't it be nice to have one big lovely global garden? -- posted by FYNFAN » FYNFAN - Re: Re: Delightful article In response to Re: Delightful article posted by Cercis:Go raibh maith agat, Georgene. I'm in the mood to look for my passport now but will probably have to settle for looking through plant catalogs to find more plants! -- posted by FYNFAN » FYNFAN - Re: Delightful article In response to Delightful article posted by jerrib:Thank you Jerri! So many gardens, not enough suitcases to bring plants home from the native plant nurseries! -- posted by FYNFAN
