Paul KaneIn the article the auther talked of using metal spoons or lures for brown trout, or the use of large streamer flies as a method of producing good catches of browns.
Here in the UK, we tend to use traditional fly patterns for browns, both on the river and on still waters, right throughout the season, and many of these patterns originate from the US, and if streamer flies are used they never tend to be any bigger than a size 10.
Is this method of plugs, spoons and lures only particular to the US at this time of the year?, and are traditional fly patterns used at other times as here in the UK?.
