» AaronMLane - Jay & Bob posting #2 - some spoilers

Okay, I already did make one posting about this film, but I wanted to keep it spoiler free and I could not include the folling while doing so.

Below, I'm listing a bunch of easy subtle references that I think it would have been cool to put in Jay and Bob Strike Back to tie it in a bit more with the Askewniverse.

-A Julie Dwyer reference somewhere

-At the Premiere of the Bluntman and Chronic film, right after Dante and Randal leave the theatre, Caitlin and Rick Derris should have walked out together. Donte should then notice her amd exclaim, "Caitlin?!" Rick Derris should the respond, "Hey aren't you that guy who sold cigarettes to that four year old? What a scumbag!"

-Brodie should have been at the premiere. How is it that the man who sent Jay and Bob off on their grand adventure is not there to celebrate their sucess at the end?

-On the subject of Brodie, what ever happened to Renee? Did she dump him again? Did he dump her? Are they still together? A quick, snide, offhand comment could have filled in the gap.

-Brodie should have mentioned TS and Brandi got devoured by a shark shortly after Jaws popped out of the water. 'Guess the shark wasn't that fake afterall.'

-Trisha and Alyssa's sister Heather should have been with them at the theatre.

-Instead of Morris Day and the time, the band at the end should have been Olaf Latarski and EXPLETIVE DELETED Your Yankee Bluejeans

Just a few ideas. If anyone has any more, feel free to add to the list.

In response to message posted by MagnoliaFan:

You better watch out, Jay and Silent Bob are going to come to your house and kick you until you're crying like a little girl with a skinned knee. And guess what? I'm going to be there with them. So you'd better watch out, stupid Magnolia Fan, cause we're coming for you. Also, if you were really smarter than Kevin Smith, and above his movies, you wouldn't have to resort to profanity.

PS Ha ha. I get it. Thanks for posting.

Hey Aar'

Thanks so much for posting all of your ideas. Just the thought of them make me laugh. I'm sure Kevin thought of all of those things, I mean, if he didn't, maybe you could go and grab his job! And I like the idea of his movies being for fans. Since I'm his biggest fan that means the movie was for and me above all else. Just a way to make myself feel special. Oh, you and I should go and take Magnolia Fan down, okay? Sorry about this, though I'm going to have to go back and put stars where your profanities are. Don't want anyone getting angry.

Okay, so I know that everyone thinks that there's a good reason Chasing Amy ended the way it did. And I agree. That movie wouldn't have the impact it does had things turned out happily ever after. But to be perfectly honest there was this part inside of me crossing my fingers and hoping that Holden and Alyssa finally got it together. Maybe I'm just aching for some sign out there, even if it's from Kevin Smith, that sometimes people get back together and everything works out.

» AaronMLane - Magnolia Fan...

There's always got to be some punk like this who has to hide behind his anonymity and trash things without any thought to your statements at all.

I hope Smith and Mewes (they are somewhat real in a matter of speaking, you moron) do come to your house and kick your EXPLITIVE DELETED, you EXPLITIVE DELETED' dipEXPLITIVE DELETED.

In a way I must thank you MagnoliaFan. The whole movie was made criticizing people like this, and along come's some guy perfectly befitting the stereotype to prove Smith's point.

EXPLITIVE DELETED MagnoliaFan. EXPLITIVE DELETED him in his stupid EXPLITIVE DELETED!

PS: Magnolia licked balls, you fag.

» BBNANA123 - intelligence

It doesn't take a whole lot of intelligence to use curse words. It is possible to explain your "opinion" without using them. In fact, it takes more brain power to use other words. Besides if you were half that smart, you would know that this site won't post curse words anyway, so it's pointless to do so. I, personally, loved the article. I went to a convention and actually met Kevin Smith. If you have watched his movies, you would see his creativity. He ties in things from the beginning to the end and you have to be pretty quick to understand that he's done this. His characters don't prove to be the smartest in the world but they do things that the average person wouldn't. You can get into the role of the characters, you can't do that with everything you watch. Lisa did a great job of giving the plot without giving away the whole movie.

MagnoliaFan and I were at that con you talked about, about two seats over.

If the only thing you got out of the postings of mine and MagnoliaFan were the so called "curse words" (EXPLITIVE DELETEDs), you missed the whole point of the postings.

I think we understand his humor a lot better than you do.

Go watch the movie again.

In fact, watch J&SBSB again & watch Chasing Amy's deleted scenes section for a start.

You may find that there was a lot more intelligence in our postings than you were ever able to comprehend.

Oh well, I suppose we were hoping to provoke a response like this anyway.
