» LeslieM_3 - Leslie MacPherson- The more I read on Fibromyalgia, the more

Leslie MacPherson-
The more I read on Fibromyalgia, the more I am convinced that I have it. As I look through symptoms I realize that I have nearly 100% of them.
I went to an ortho. surg. who said that Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome were "catch-all" diseases that are diagnosed if the doctors can't find anything else to blame the symptoms on. I was furious!!
Right now I am taking 1 flexeril pill at bedtime and 4 Darvocet N/100 per day. THIS IS DOING NOTHING!! I was taking Soma and Demerol, but they were taken away for fear of addiction. Even if I would become addicted, what is worse: being in constant agony and sleeping 2 hours per night or being addicted to something that would help lower the amount of pain I am in? I am so pissed off at the doctors that are very ignorant and ill-informed of Fibromyalgia.
What can I do? By the way, I live in upstate NY, just outside of Oneonta. Please, can someone help me!!

» LeslieM_3 - Leslie MacPherson After going to five doctors in the last two

Leslie MacPherson
After going to five doctors in the last two weeks, I am really getting frustrated. All I am hearing from the doctors is that FMS and CFS is all in hte patient's head. I was also told that they are a "catch-all" for doctors that cannot figure out what is wrong with you.

Meanwhile, I lay at home praying to God that someday the pain will stop. I can't seem to relay exactly how painful it is . I cry myself to sleep every night. My fiance is very supportive, but he gets frustrated too.

I need to know what my options are and where to go next. Please, someone help!!
