This archived discussion is "read only". » fairview - Re: Re: Cpp Application for Fibromyalgia In response to message posted by TysonLow:Hi!!! Just to let you know I have fired my Dr. and have gotten one that says he will do whatever to help me re: Appeal my Insuance Claim. He says I am in no condition to even try to continue to be in the work force. I will keep you all informed. This by the way is in Alberta. Thanks Again Fairview. -- posted by fairview » rina - Re: Re: CPP and second rejection In response to message posted by pac54:Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I can reschedule the chats for Fibromyalgia (which haven't had much of a following lately) to whenever is convenient for you. Also the chat times will appear on the new Fibromyalgia topic page at: http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/11513 Out of curiosity, why aren't people using the discussion threads on that page...? Thanks! -- posted by rina » tamara_peters - Re: Re: Re: CPP and second rejection http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/h... Her husband of 20 yrs. is leaving her, and she'll have very little financial support. She recently applied for CPP Disability Benefits, only to be told she didn't qualify because she was not considered to be totally disabled and unable to work at any job and that her disability wasn't considered to be long-term (at least 1 yr.). This is in direct contrast to what her G.P. stated in a letter to them. They have given her 90 days to provide "further evidence"! I would be very grateful if you could e-mail me the website or link that you mentioned (Quest in Ottawa?) in order to obtain a list of doctors or lawyers who may be able to provide some assistance. She is in a desperate situation. Thanks in advance for your help. -- posted by Maura7 » tamara_peters - Re: Re: Re: Cpp Application for Fibromyalgia (Suite101.com) In response to message posted by Maura7:Hi Maura, as this topic has been archived there are no longer any active discussions here. If you click on Fibromyalgia Friends, in my signature, you will be taken to the new Fibro Topic. There is a category, on the welcome page, titled "Canadian Sites" that you might find useful. Hope this helps. Please ask your question in the Fibro Friends' forum, linked in my signature, because we have several members who are Canadian and may be able to help as well.
