Hi!!! Just to let you know I have fired my Dr. and have gotten one that says he will do whatever to help me re: Appeal my Insuance Claim. He says I am in no condition to even try to continue to be in the work force. I will keep you all informed. This by the way is in Alberta.

Thanks Again

Fairview.

Randy I've been banging my head against a brick wall. Spouse has requested assistance from MP but they aren't helping either. Can you send me the medical questionnaire you are referring to.

Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I can reschedule the chats for Fibromyalgia (which haven't had much of a following lately) to whenever is convenient for you. Also the chat times will appear on the new Fibromyalgia topic page at: http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/11513

Out of curiosity, why aren't people using the discussion threads on that page...?

Thanks!

http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/h... Since this site has been retired anyone reading this post, can click on this link, and be re-directed to Fibromyalgia Friends, on Cheeky's Holistic Therapy site. Hope to see you there. smile

Hi Rina, I think most of us fibromites that migrated to Fibro friends, on Cheeky's site, have
tried out the new site and decided to stay put. I hope it is ok that I put links to Fibro Friends here? I felt badly that people didn't realize this site was retired and weren't finding answers to their questions. Is the new fibro chat still 6 PST on Tues?

In response to message posted by TysonLow:

My sister has been totally disabled by fibromyalgia for a number of years, now. Her husband of 20 yrs. is leaving her, and she'll have very little financial support. She recently applied for CPP Disability Benefits, only to be told she didn't qualify because she was not considered to be totally disabled and unable to work at any job and that her disability wasn't considered to be long-term (at least 1 yr.). This is in direct contrast to what her G.P. stated in a letter to them. They have given her 90 days to provide "further evidence"! I would be very grateful if you could e-mail me the website or link that you mentioned (Quest in Ottawa?) in order to obtain a list of doctors or lawyers who may be able to provide some assistance. She is in a desperate situation. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Maura, as this topic has been archived there are no longer any active discussions here. If you click on Fibromyalgia Friends, in my signature, you will be taken to the new Fibro Topic. There is a category, on the welcome page, titled "Canadian Sites" that you might find useful.
Hope this helps.
Tamara

Hi Jackie,

I did a search and found some sites that may provide helpful information for you.

Please ask your question in the Fibro Friends' forum, linked in my signature, because we have several members who are Canadian and may be able to help as well.

Good luck!
