In response to message posted by LilBitz:

Hi Barb,
yes it was the only thing that kept me going back then was the regular massage, my problem was that the entire right side was paralysed fortuneatly no facial disformity as i am ugly enough..lol. It really upsets me when a mis diagnosis is made by a GP as all it takes is a little more insight to see the real problem and that extra little is worth so much to their self esteem and the patients well being with treatment i wish they would investigat further and not use the first diagnosis that pops into their minds.
Sorry I rambled there but it really is a pet hate for me.

That sounds like what we did - practically sneak off to get married. As soon as we realized all the logistics of a regular wedding we decided not to ask anyone but the witnesses, Roger's son and a photographer friend - and, at the last minute, we had to invite the paperboy because someone had to be inside to turnon the music. ;-) It was lovely and stress free.

Gary will have to warn me before he calls. I sleep really weird hours and don't normally answer the phone unless I am expexting a call. If I am expecting it within a range of time I will make certain to be awake an to answer. ;-)That's what I told him - he may have forgotten that as well.

» maudlee - backs and bangs

Thanks Carol for the input - I would like to try the neck brace and also look into the back brace - I must admit to tiring of this constant seeking for the cure which we all know is not there but now that I have a new nanny coming tomorrow who can drive me down to this apparently incredible Spine Inst. in Chandler - well, we shall see. Do you have an open or a closed MRI? I can have neither as I have a piece of metal left in my ear after the botched hearing operation - just as well maybe as I am totally claustraphobic (sp). About the bangs, I only had them that short once and I guess I pulled such a screaming fit that it never happened again - that is until the era of the poodle cut - argh. Now, MIKE!!!! congratulations and I will be thinking of you on your special day - perhaps a shot of quervo gold might ease the jitters??? This from one who doesn't drin? But cheer - bfn - Maud

» energynow - magnetic back support, gardening

In response to message posted by CarolWallace:

Hope the magnetic back support helps. I don't know for sure how much magnets help. But I know use it for support which I find I need more & more. Been wearing it out in public recently which I hadn't done before. Gets kinda hot in summertime.

Just got int'd in gardening past few yrs. Clay soil and not good locations make it a challenge along with my back challenges & other maladies.

Made it to church & Sunday School today. First time I stayed for both services in awhile. Even sang in choir which I enjoyed. But my knees and I felt like my head too was shaking due to muscle tremors or spasms I assume. Guess embarrassment is least of my concerns . LOL!

It's so hard never knowing how I'm going to be feeling and not being able to even plan the least little bit ahead.

Hope you find some remedies for all your needs,
Carol.

Take care.

Jean

Mike, I totally agree with you about GPs not taking the time to get a correct diagnosis. But I don't think I explained myself clearly. Like that's something new. LOL!

Mine wasn't a misdiagnosis. The GP had diagnosed me with Bells Palsy, but didn't tell me that was the diagnosis. I didn't find out until years later from the social security doctor. This GP is the same one who diagnosed me with fibro but didn't bother to tell me either.

Hi Barb,
I am sorry that you have a GP that keeps things so close to their chest as it does make it hard for you to tell anyone what they have said when they dont think you need to know what is wrong, not what I would call a great bedside manner.
They sound like they are up with their diagnosis but not quite there on telling all yet. I hope that they get better at it soon lol.

In response to message posted by mibody:

Hi Mike, fortunately I dropped that "joke" years ago. My present primary care giver is very intuned to my health and has researched my past medical charts to get a fully picture. He's very good at keeping me informed, thank goodness! He said his greatest challenge now is cleaning up so many misdiagnosis effects and improper treatment methods from my past. Another thing I like about him, he encourages alternative care! smile

Btw, Congratulations on upcoming nuptials! I don't think luck has anything to do with it. I think as we mature, our choices are more well thought out. Based from your post, I'd say your bride will be a very happy person! smile

Hi Barb,
Thanks for the kind words and I think that its me that is the lucky one, as it was a battle to get her to even talk to me which made me even more determined to get to know her and now in a little more that a week we are to be wed.
I am glad that you have a Dr that is intune with the latest treatments I wish there was more like them as it would save me a lot of time showing the GPs the light at the end of the tunnel is Natural Therapies and not just Drugs.
