Hi, Loni...

I keep losing my stupid DSL connection so it's taking me twice as long to do anything today. Argh!

Once you've logged in, click on "Forums", just below the header "My Fibro Friends", which will take you to the discussion page.

Click on any discussion, highlighted in blue.

If you've clicked on the General Discussion one, you'll see a title "Welcome to the Forum". Click on that to read and reply to the posts.

At the very bottome of that you'll see "Subject", where the replies are listed in order. Looks like you have to click on individual ones to reply to, but I'm not sure.

Seems though there must be a way to see all posts at once. Peter? Help!

Hope this helps, Loni.

I see Barbe's been there so I'll see if I can reply to her now.

Hugs,
T

Tamara - You could always go to a discussion and mention that your name was put in those articles by a Suite101.com technician and that YOU had nothing to do with it and sorry for the confusion.

I wouldn't worry about copyright infringement. Online writing is not the same as Magazine Writing - regardless of what others might think. One thing about writing for an Online magazine is that it is not "our" website so we don't have control over every little thing...you know the truth and that is all that countssmile

I cannot post at the site. I followed your suggestion and I didn't even see Loni's post. Looks funky...I was confused:-0

Don - I played the song but the Computer speakers doesn't compliment the song. It ends right before the little boy sings. That is what gets me all the time - when the kid sings. Gives me goose bumps and makes me cry all the time.

Tried to find the CD in Walmart and it was out. I am not surprised:-)

I don't know the street names in Mastic Beach, but I do remember the landmarks and stores.

Yes, Don - Cold Case was great, huh? I just love that show. I don't know what it is about it. I love how they go back in time and they play the BEST music!

Silver Bells was good, too. I was surprised. It was a good story line.

Well gots to go for now. BBL

Peter not only am I not happy about our lying, cheating politicians but all this exciting news took over my favorite soap opera "Coronation Street"! I kind of have the same views as you as to voting and feel there are no choices. Nasty election...oh ya!

Your afternoon with your mom sounds like a day from hell! Maybe you should have gone and done your laundry and let her get all your chores done..LOL!

Great new site that you have built for us!

Hugs, M smile

» zhann - HELP

I went to the site, logged in, read the posts and could see them all at once, registered, got my email and went back and it accepted me and welcomed me by my user name and I set up my profile. I went back to the posts and they were listed with just the titles to the posts and I replied, but could not get it to accept it. It kept saying "unable to insert post to forum". I changed my profile and it stilll doesn't take it. It just says under "rank" just dropping in.I even chose the avatar and so I don't know what I did wrong.

Frustrated. Any help appreciated. Joyce Computer Illeterate.

Subject: Moving Day!
Okay, everyone: The day has finally come for us to pack up our baggage and leave Suite101 behind us.
It's a sad day, but exciting as well.

With the closing of this door - another one opens.

Sooooooooo, without further ado, jump on Margaret's magic carpet; destination - http://www.myfibrofriends.com/

I'll see you there.

Once everyone's out, I'll turn off the lights and lock the door.. ;-)

Huuuuuuuuugs,
T

Fibromyalgia Friends Support Group's new home:
http://www.myfibrofriends.com

ALSO ... as a addon from me ... if you can log in here ... you should be able to register & log on at the new site. The new site uses cookies (but only a couple safe ones) ... so if you have software that blocks cookies you will have to set up the new website as an exception.

If you experience ANY problems registering, logging in or posting ... email me at
peter at merlinean dot com

If the problems are with registering or logging in ... I will need you to tell me your login Name and Password. If you can login OK ... but have trouble posting ... just describe the problem you are having.

If you want to see all the comments & posts in the forums in their "expanded" mode ... being able to read everyones post one under the other ... the easiest way to set that is to go into Edit Account in the User Menu on left side of page. Go down to "Comments Display Mode" and choose "Flat" ... then Save Changes.

Almost everyone is now at the new site ... I hope those still "missing" will choose to join us there.

Take care
Peter

I'm not liking this new home. I have my username and all but am clueless on how to do anything. Very frustrating at the least.

I, personally liked the blog better. Everyone was so against it because we had to have a username and password when we need these things for this new place as well.

Argh!

» tamara_peters - Good Morning!

In response to Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Hi Everyone! posted by Loni:

I think Peter's working on the forums this morning so I'm posting here.

It looks like they'll be much easier and simpler to use. smile

Glad they helped, Loni.. Sorry, can't get used to your new spelling. LOL

Tery, it looks like that problem's already been fixed. I checked, and all the proper names are back in place.

Actually, it doesn't matter whether it's online or off: Copyright infringement is illegal. I would never have let my name stay on a piece that I didn't write.

http://classweb.gmu.edu/nccwg/plagiarism...

Thankfully, I'd only come across that a handful of times as a Suite CM, but in every instance the FW's topic was immediately deleted and the FW was let go.

Mare, I see that you and Joyce did make it in. smile

We'll have to check out the new forum setup just as soon as it's up and live.

Let's all give it some time, okay?

I know it's frustrating at first. Believe me, I'm just as easily frustrated as the next person. LOL

Change is never easy, but I really hope this will be a change for the better. smile

Come on all you MIAs - please check it out, okay?

Going shopping today so I won't be back until much later.

Have a good day everyone.

I'll keep the door open here, for the meantime, until we're all settled.

No hurry. We'll take it slow and try to make the transition as seamless as possible.

Huuugs to All,
T
