» Rosee - Sleeping

I feel like Sleeping Beauty these last few days..LOL! It is so wonderful to be sleeping so deeply and then waking up cheery and happy. Today I even managed to go for a great walk with the dogs along the creek I like to visit. But instead of hanging around the pond part of the creek we started to explore. Oh...so much fun! I admit I am kind of tired now at 8:00PM and my bed seems to be whispering me to come to bed. Eyes are kind of droopy and the dogs really want to go bed...LOL!

Peter glad that damn test is all over for you now! Yes it certainly sounds like you are living in a fortress for sure...but very reassuring to know that you have all that solid foundation and walls. You can hear through our walls down around three suites...LOL! Interesting though...LOL!

Loni I immediately wrote T a letter although I do send her emails quite often. But there can't be enough emails when a person isn't feeling really great. Sure hope our little sweetheart is hanging in there! :-)

Joelle glad that you got back in after having computer probs!

Guess I should go before my eyes close on me before I sign off...LOL!

Hugs to all, M :-)

Hope some of our MIA's drop in real soon!

» Skull13 - Wish I could work again...

If I could figure out a place to work/job where there were no flourescent lights for one thing. I could work from say 11 to 4 and had the option of sitting or standing...getting to walk around too...with no heavy lifting or bending...and let's throw in free donuts and coffee served by topless waitresses with big personalities while I'm dreaming! Wink!

Loni...I hope it is nothing too serious causing the problem. Sometimes the slightest thing can cause excrutiating pain.

I have a cousing in Texas whose husband built a log cabin from scratch...no kit or anything. Designed it himself and built it from trees on their property and a few neighbors. They have 12 acres of land about an hour and half inland from Houston. He is an architect and I believe it took him 6 years for the basic structure. They are very new age and back to nature. Every tree was replaced with two, etc.

I emailed Tamara a couple of days ago to check on her...she is very stressed out.

Joelle...It could very well be the lights at work. Flourescent lights are the bane of many Fibromites. Wearing sunglasses and a hat can help with the brightness a bit but not with the sense that you can "feel" them in the back of your neck.

Divine Miss M...So happy for you! Maybe you should see about getting Snow White and Cinderella to come over for a tea party!! Wink!

» energynow - Jean Report, fibro site???

In response to Hi Everyone! posted by tamara_peters:

Hi, gang:

I scanned some e-mails. Looks like the fibro site is staying, right?

After a year of seeing chiropractor twice a week,
I've had some times where I got better. Then plenty of times lately where I feel worse. But he said because my spine had taken so much damage from the whiplash of 20-30 yrs. ago, it'd take a long time and my body would go through a lot of changes in process.

I've already gone to a neurologist several yrs. ago, rheumy, internist, tried herbal programs and I'm sick of it all. Then I blame myself for not eating right--eating too many carbs and too much sugar. My herbalist tells me that carbs and sugar make people hurt more. They apparently cause more inflammation.

I've been in a lot of all over body pain particularly past month. I'm just so sick of it all. I'm thinking of seeing if my internist will put me on Lyrica, but it can cause dizziness and sleepiness, which I sure don't need!

I've blasted people at church because I'm in so much pain and so angry, then I worry about what they think of me. All this pain makes me sick of living! But don't worry, that's just an expression--not an implication that I'm going to do myself in!! LOL!

Had nice lunch at my house yesterday with a few friends and my mother-in-law.

I hope all of you get the relief you need. I'm sure not right now!

Take care.

Best to all,
Jean

(((Jean)))- I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I know the frustrations and aggravation of it all. Hang in there! I am learning after all these years that there could be worse things happening. I have this splitting headache that is actually giving me a very bad ear ache as well. I know that I don't have an ear infection as I was checked for that the other day.

My Sciatica has not relieved itself. The pain is down my right leg and I've had no relief yet. For me to go to a Chiropractor is just absurd. I just don't have the money at this time for all this doctor and medication stuff. I am on Lithium to begin with and I see a shrink every month that costs $100.00!!

Between Bipolar and Chronic Pain, I have a huge whole in my pocket...and I still have kids living home that I support and raise.

We all don't eat right. It is one of the hardest things to do - "eat right." I do the best I can, but sometimes I just go off. Like today, I had a McDonald's Big Mac and Fries with a Sweet Tea! And yesterday I had a Friendly's Fried Chicken Sandwich with Fries!!

It is definetely not easy, that is for sure.smile

Don't be so hard on yourself...There is so much talk about food and what it does to our bodies, I don't know what to believe anymore. First, eggs are bad for us, now eggs are good for us. First, drink 6-8 glasses of water a day, now I read that you don't need to do that. Argh!

I think that Dizziness and Sleepiness with Lyrica is a side effect that eventually subsides over time - I am not sure, Don would know more about it.

I am on Lithium for my Bipolar but it does nothing for pain that is for sure.

Don - Are you originally on Lyrica for Bipolar or for Physical Pain? Are you on anything other than Lyrica for Bipolar?

Well I gots to go for now...BBL:-)

Oh Yeah? I tell ya, I have been so bad lately. Totally fast food. I was doing really good at one time and lost about 13 pounds. I am not overweight and I am blessed with a good metabolism, but still...it is catching up to me...LOLsmile

That sounds like a dream job for sure Don and even I might be interested..especially with those fresh donuts but hold the topless waitresses okay...LOL!

Flourescent lights are just so hard on me and tons of other people. I did have to wear a ball cap when I worked at my last job as a P.O.S. operator. Even then I still managed to have a headache every day.

Jean that was the problem with chriopractors one never knows when it is time to give up on going.
With me it is always the running out of money that gives me the clue. smile

Eating right...what the heck is that?? I can never seem to get it right either. For days I can be reasonable good then I give into some goodies or two or three...LOL!

Jean the dizziness and sleepiness side effects that some people get from Lyrica usually only lasts a little while. At least that is what happened with me. smile

Joelle sounds like you are on the same sort of diet plan as the rest of us..LOL!

Seems to be a fair amount of people MIA. Hope some of them check in real soon!

We went from a gorgeous day yesterday where I went for a long walk with the dogs and my sil to being nearly snowed in today. It looks gorgeous! Not keen on the snow removal part of things though.

Hugs to all, M smile

» Skull13 - Jeanne's Father is Dying...

My father-in-law is dying and Jeanne is leaving at noon to fly up. Hope she makes it in time. We are borrowing from both her sons for this and it is destroying the tiny cushion we had. Jeanne already had given up her cell phone so we could afford Christmas. We just hope we don't end up where we were this time last year...worrying about losing our apartment. Sorry to be such a downer. Hard to type.

Tery...I am still on 500 mgs. of Depakote too.
