» knitcraz - Bow Tie Scarf

Hi All,

The patterns for "bow tie scarf" sound so fun and interesting. I can't wait to continue it, but I have a little hick up. I am just a beginner knitter, but I manage to reach the end of the first flap for the first hole of the scarf.
I don't quiet understand how to jump from this side of the flap to the bottom of the opposite side so that I can start knitting the second flap of the same hole.
I tried pulling the yarn very tight when I knit the first stitch(of the second flap), but this still seem to leave a funny looking ydiagionallyally across from the top end of one flap to the bottom of the other.

Please help !

P.S
I hope I didn't confuse anyone !

ThKnitcraz!

You alternate knitting one stitch onto your working needle, and then slipping the next stitch off onto a stitch holder. Then knit the next stitch onto working needle, then slip one off onto a stitch holder, etc.. That way you knit only half the stitches, but its overy other one.

When that section is worked, you place group one onto a holder, then knit up the next bunch. When done you have two ballances strips. Then to re-combine you knit one stitch of holder one, then one stitch off holder two alternating until all the stitches are back on the needle.

Continue to work the scarf up.
