(-:Robert Heinlein was a past master at alternate time lines. In quite a few of his books you didn't ask where you we're when you arrived. (Can I make up words like that?) Steele does a terrific job of re-creating a space flight. His technical detail draws you right into the action. And the action is clean and concise with no loose ends. I'd even recommend it, if it weren't for the shoddy alternative history blurbs, but then maybe you'll find those interesting. Opinion...
