High tech. thriller...set in space...hey, this sounds like one I should try. (-:

Robert Heinlein was a past master at alternate time lines. In quite a few of his books you didn't ask where you we're when you arrived. The question was, who was the the first man to land on the moon...quite a range of answers!

Nice to talk to you Karen

Hi Brian -- long time no talk. Yes a definite Heinleinian style plot. (Can I make up words like that?) Steele does a terrific job of re-creating a space flight. His technical detail draws you right into the action. And the action is clean and concise with no loose ends. I'd even recommend it, if it weren't for the shoddy alternative history blurbs, but then maybe you'll find those interesting. Opinion...

See ya around Brian.
