Karen, thank you for the review. I had never considered the possibility of watching an author develop along with her characters. I wonder whether that would work especially well if someone did a trilogy (that word again!) as a first-person narrative. (Or is there a law against that?)

Dan, it's been done before ("first-person narrative") and will probably be done again. Off the top of my head I'm not coming up with examples... but give me time to stew on it something will rise to the top.
