» Red - Re: Re: fantastic article... In response to message posted by JButler:Joy, Two weeks ago the Ontario SPCA raided a kennel and took out 129 dogs who were emancipated, starving and freezing. It was a puppy mill. One dog's carcass was frozen in its' kennel and someone had attempted to burn two others. The dogs were full of fleas and mangy. The owners of the kennel have been charged and face two years in prison. The dogs each needed $500 worth of veterinary care. The SPCA were appealing to the public to give donations and contributions of food, cleaners and they needed volunteers to help walk the dogs and clean cages. Everyone pulled together and the dogs will soon be put up for adoption. Only two dogs had to be put down, but think of the hundreds that died before someone complained. -- posted by Red
