Longhorn cattle are magnificent animals. Like Jerri, I love them. Thanks for this delightful tale. I'm sure that Santa's reindeer enjoy the break, as the climate in Texas would not be to their liking. Merry Christmas to you and your family. May the season be filled with abundant blessings. -- posted by Red

I guess it's no secret that Texas Longhorns are everywhere in Texas. I think it's a kick that some people even ride them! Merry Christmas, Jerri! -- posted by Joy Butler

That's right, Mary. Reindeer can't be beat in the cold climates but in Texas the reinsteer works much better. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Mary! -- posted by Joy Butler » Renie_Burghardt - Santa Rides a Reinsteer Hi Joy, I'm sure Santa enjoys riding the reinsteer when necessary. They are beautiful animals. I have a neighbor up the road who raises Texas Longhorns. I love to see them in his field.I enjoyed the article. And thank you for thinking of me with the beautiful Suite card. Have a Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year ever! Warm regards, -- posted by Renie_Burghardt

This was my best-selling card before Christmas this year. The spruce twig instead of the olive branch seemed to appeal to Canadians. -- posted by biogardener » MsPersephone - Reinsteer Joy, I like the way you so creatively combined Santa's visits with the history of the Texas longhorn.
