What an informative article! I have visited the Great Smokys many times and am always in awe of the of what the park encompasses.

The spectacular views, dense forests, numerous flower species, wildlife, cascading waterfalls, crystal clear water and the mountains themselves are a sight to behold.

I will never again visit without remembering the lessons I've learned today about the history of Smokys.
