Hi Geoff. Nice explanation. When I went to college I had my first inspiring teacher. It was a basic geology class and he told us the Bowens Reaction Series was a little hard to memorize, so he sang us a song about it with his guitar.

I was so impressed with how he made science fun that I went on to take as many science classes (and especially geology) as I could over the next ten years, just for fun. So I have a warm feeling for the Bowens Reaction Series. How's that for an odd story?

Jill

I know what you mean. My first geology professor in college, while he didn't sing, he did WALK on the chalkboard to explain the differences between right-lateral and left-lateral strike slip faults. It sure livens up a class when your professor does something of the wall. (Ha Ha)
