I purposefully avoided the debate over the effects wormwood might or might not have on Absinthe drinkers; as I didn't want to delve into a moralistic arguement.

There is little evidence that wormwood is damaging, infact some studies have suggested that it might improve peoples IQs, and increase their creativity.

As mentioned in the article, Absinthe was never made illegal in Britain where it is now a fashionable drink with, as yet, no noted ill effects.

Surely in a modern world, with free access to a wide variety of imformation, it should be left to consumers to make the final choice?
