» LeeM1023 - Verkoj de Verda Majo
Regarding the binding of the book, I just bought a copy (received it in the mail this morning) and it is definitely hard-bound, as are many of the publications of the Cxina Esperanto-Eldonejo in Beijing. It's quite a nice volume--not "deluxe" but very well designed and printed. (I didn't buy my copy from ELNA, but I imagine there was only one edition; the date is 1982).At the price, I think it's a bargain . . .

Lee, thank you very much for confirming that the copy of Verda Majo's works currently on sale is cloth bound and not a paperback.Yes, it's certainly a bargain and I hope you will find that the book is as interesting to read as it is attractive to look at. I did, and I hope other people will follow your example and add this title to their personal library while they can.
Just back from Thailand. What an experience! The language barrier there...at least in Chiang Mai where I spent two weeks...is as high as their mountains. The structure and syntax of Thai must be very very different from that of a Western language. A message I have just received from one of the better students begins:
"Thank you very much for of your gave me."
How hard it must be for them, and how hard they try!
