I was wondering what have you guys discovered helps you all when you go walking, have sensitivies to annoying noises, traffic, semi-trucks and the like.

I discussed some of my ideas in the article, "Stressful Noise Sources & Music as a Diversion".

I am only one person with one set of ideas that have worked for me personally.

Your ideas could help thousands of people!

In response to message posted by PMotzko:

First, I need to say that since I am in Mexico, and in an unusual situation with the web, it would be appreciated if you could send at least a copy of your response to me at malaguena_2000@yahoo.com. If you just hit "reply", I won't get your message.

As a professor at the Language School of the Autonomous University of Baja California at Mexicali, I am doing a paper on the harmful effects of extra-loud music. Out of this, I hope to prepare a booklet for distribution.

I am coming to you to ask about the effects on the brain. We are talking about sometimes up to 120 decibels for an hour or so at a time. I need to know if this can cause seizures, or other harm aside from hearing loss, as I already have a good bit of documentation in that area. As well as theoretical information, I would greatly appreciate any shared experiences I might be able to use to convince people to TURN THOSE SPEAKERS DOWN!

Blessings!
