The growth of electronic networking over the last 15 years or so makes one aware of many new malapropisms and misspellings of homophones. Here are ones that I've seen quite frequently:waisting time
alot (presumably from allot, used by people who only write alittle)
I resemble that remark
"I resemble that remark" seems to be a true malapropism for resent.
But the best one of all wasn't on the net. It was at a university where a special committee was set up to "facilitate conflict".
